The 2019-2020 Xavier Dance Team (XDT) attended the Dance Team Union National Championship from February 21-23, 2020 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. Forthe first time in Xavier history,XDT advanced to the nationalfinals and received tenth placein hip hop (small varsity) and sixth place in pom (small varsity).

In addition to the group’s success, three Xavier dancers, sophomores Sara Gundacker and Berkley Johnson and freshman Alyssa Ramler. completed as soloists at nationals. Gundacker advanced to the national semifinal round being the first Xavier Saint to progress that far at the national level.

This was the last time competing for seniors Kess Brown, Monica Bean and Michele Barnum. All three are proud of the team’s success and look forward to supporting their teammates next season.
