A balance game

Fast food is a balance game. There are two questions one has to consider when judging a
restaurant in this category: are they fast, and do they have good food. Wendy’s outperforms all
its competitors with exceptional food at an unbelievable price.
First off, Wendy’s has the best deals. Yes, I am talking about the 4 for 4 deal. Brilliant.
Revolutionary. No other fast food restaurant can keep up with this deal. You can enjoy a great,
fresh, never frozen Bacon Cheeseburger topped with melting American cheese, Applewood
smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I know what you’re thinking, 4 dollars for a burger?
That’s an okay deal. Oh no, you get more. Let’s throw in a batch of naturally cut fries, served hot
and crispy with a sprinkle of sea salt, and an ice cold beverage. Now you’re thinking, wow,
that’s a great deal! Right? That’s not it, you also get four juicy, and crispy nuggets. 4 dollars!
Some might say Wendy’s is worse than almost all other fast food restaurant options. Well,
let’s go down the list. First we have Mcdonald’s. Frankly, Mcdonald’s is gross. Their frozen
packed food has a disgusting amount of fat and their service isn’t good either. Their locations are
gross as well. Compare this to the newly renovated Wendy’s locations on 42nd street and 1st
avenue, and Wendy’s clearly wins. Next, there is Chick-fil-A. With only two locations and never
ending lines, Chick-fil-A limits themselves to chicken. There is absolutely no variety and their
food is rather expensive. Not only this, but they also close on Sunday, which is not convenient. I
know they have good intentions, but in the rubric used when judging a fast food restaurant, there
isn’t a category asking if they’re being good Catholic boys.
Next up is Culver’s. Culver’s has one location in Cedar Rapids. The average Cedar Rapids
resident has at least a 10 minute drive to get there. Once you get there, you have to wait around
10 minutes as well. Culver’s is dominating the food part, but waiting more than 20 minutes for
my food is not fast. Finally, we have Arby’s. They serve deli meat. That is all they serve. Enough
said.
Wendy’s has fresh never frozen food with great deals. Fast food is a balance game,
and Wendy’s has found the perfect balance between fast and food with the best price. Fast food
is always better when you go to Wendy’s.
